Cheer up, love: X Factor finalist Cher Lloyd looked miserable on her night out at the star-studded Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women Of The Year Awards at the Banqueting House in London's Whitehall
Just a few months ago, she was a mere student in Malvern who could only dream of rubbing shoulders with celebrities - so you'd think having been a guest at one of the showbiz events of the year, Cher Lloyd could crack a smile.
But she looked more like a moody teen than a pop sensation when she left the Cosmopolitan Ulitmate Women Of The Year Awards last night.
With a blank, almost bored looking face underneath her over-plucked eyebrows, Cher appeared fed up on her night out, despite leaving with a goodie bag full of freebies.
Her sullen demeanour was in stark contrast to her fellow X Factor finalists at the event, who seemed beside themselves with delight to be at such a star-studded bash in the splendour of the Whitehall Banqueting Hall.
Aiden Grimshaw and Paije Richardson literally screamed with delight after their night out, and Matt Cardle seemed pretty chuffed to have been a guest too.
She also still appeared to be down in the dumps this morning as she left a central London studio this morning after rehearsals with a police escort.
Police escort: Cher was ushered into a waiting car out of a central London recording studio today accompanied by a security guard and a Police Community Support Officer
Fashion favourite: The 17-year-old singer was yet again clad head to toe in the Paul's Boutique designer label
Meanwhile, failed finalist Storm Lee is accusing Cher of 'game-playing' by flirting with all the boys remaining in the competition.
There have been myriad reports that the streetwise teen linking her romantically with everyone from Aiden Grimshaw to One Direction's Harry Styles to Zain Malik.
Happy: A smiling Treyc Cohen signed autographs for fans as she left the studio today after X Factor rehearsals
Men about town: Wagner and Matt Cardle had also been at the rehearsals in Covent Garden
He told this week's Heat magazine: 'Cher's playing a very good game. No one else stands a chance. She's got all the boys wrapped around her little finger.
'Cher's not a girl's girl and she'll do anything to win. The feeling within the house is that she gets close to the boys for attention.'
Not so close: Fellow X Factor finalists Rebecca Ferguson and Cher didn't seem to be such great mates on their night out
Downer: Cher and Rebecca set out on what looks like it turned out to be a silent journey back home
Cher certainly didn't seem too pally with fellow X Factor finalist Rebecca Ferguson - looking stunning in a floor-length pale pink frock - at the Cosmo awards last night.
In fact, it looked like the pair could barely bring themselves to talk to each other as they left the bash and headed back to the X Factor finalists' mansion in Mill Hill, north London.
Thrilled: Paije Richardson, with grinning fellow X Factor finalists Aiden Grimshaw and Matt Cardle behind him, looked like he'd had a ball on his night out
Larking around: Aiden pulls a silyl face in the car on the way back to the X Factor finalists' house in north London as Matt Cardle looks on indulgently
Cher had opted for a more casual look in tight black skinny jeans, which she teamed with a sparkled top and fur jacket.
Treyc Cohen, who was brought back into the competition by judge Cheryl Cole as her 'wildcard' contestant, also attended, wearing a short black sheer dress.
However, Katie Waissel was noticeably absent from the awards ceremony.
The contestants are gearing up for the weekend's live shows, when they are believed to be performing songs made famous by boy bands.
Going glam: Earlier Cher had managed to smile for photographers on the red carpet alongside Rebecca Ferguson who looked stunning
Sticking to an LBD: Treyc Cohen showed off her legs in a black minidress
Meanwhile, Cheryl's Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh, who is a huge fan of X Factor, revealed her tips for who she is expecting to win.
Speaking at a breast cancer event at Clarence House yesterday, Kimberley said: 'Rebecca, she's amazing, and Cher is very good too.'
And Kimberley, whose group Girls Aloud was created through TV talent show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, said she can 'empathise' with the contestants.
Here come the boys: Matt Cardle and Paije Richardson pose on the red carpet

'But it's a fantastic opportunity as well, these programmes really do give you a chance.' X Factor stylist Grace Woodward has also revealed her opinions on the remaining contestants. She told Heat magazine: 'Cher’s only 17 and is still working out who she is. She had a real meltdown in the first week because of the snide comments made by some of the other female acts. 'It feels like school backstage, with the bitching and general confidence-knocking tactics. Cheryl had to rebuild her self-esteem, so she lent her some boots. 'Rebecca is the most interesting to work with – she trusts me. I had to really convince Rebecca to wear the purple dress, but she loved it in the end. The dark lips got a few comments, but that’s what fashion is about!' And talking about Katie, Grace added: 'Katie’s interested in fashion, so she has quite high demands. She started to wig out a bit backstage on week, which was largely due to nerves.' Others at the glitzy bash last night were Christine Bleakley, Doctor Who beauty Karen Gillan, Kelly Brook, Nicola Roberts, Alexandra Burke and Sheridan Smith. There were also a sprinkling of Strictly stars at the do, with Michelle Williams giving her model friend Crystal Ren a big hug after she won the gong for Ultimate Catwalk Queen, and Tina O'Brien cheering herself up with a night out after being given the boot from the show on Sunday.
