Fashion Police Oscars 2011

I enjoyed the Oscars this year. There were some great moments. I thought Anne Hathaway and James Franco did a fantastic job hosting. But I can't stop thinking about those Brian Atwood blingy sparkle shoes Anne Hathaway wore with her tux on stage. OMG! I so need them!

Look at those beauties! I didn't even notice them until she stood up and then I gasped. Turned to Ryan and said "I LOVE HER SHOES!" To which Ryan just rolled his eyes and smiled at me. Boys just don't understand.

So there were a lot of hits on the red carpet Sunday night. I'd say more hits than misses. So I am going to show you all the ones that stood out in my mind.

Cate Blanchet. This dress was just awesome! The color is gorgeous and all the awesome detail is just so cool. Her hair and make up were perfect with it too. It stood out that night.

Anne Hathaway looked classic. There were a lot of red dresses on the red carpet this year. I loved all her different outfits and dresses she wore that night on stage.

This dress was perfect for Amy Adams! The color and the sparkles are just fantastic. I loved her hair and make up.

Jennifer Lawrence was young and elegant. Another one of the nights red dresses. I loved that she didn't wear any jewelery. She looked very pretty. Love the nude lip.

Jennifer Hudson looks incredible! The color is my favorite part of the dress. Her hair and make up matched her dress perfectly.

I love Helen Mirren! Has she had a miss on the red carpet yet? I don't think so. She dresses so hip but still age appropriate. That color is just awesome. Could she be anymore fabulous??

This dress was just cute. Hailee Steinfeld apparently helped design this dress. At least that is what she told Ryan Seacrest. But it is really pretty and very age appropriate for her.

Love Gywneth's metallic dress. The shape of the dress is simple but elegant, but what really makes it fabulous is the color and the embellishment on her hip. The straight hair and her make up are perfect for this look.

The reason Reese Witherspoon stood out for me is her hair. GORGEOUS! Her dress is simple and nice. but her hair is what did it for me.

Just so you all know, this look was done with hair pieces. This gave her pony tail more fullness and volume. It is just fabulous!

Congrats to Natalie Portman. I was in LOVE with her Golden Globes dress. This one is just as amazing. I love the color, the detail, the flowyness of it, and that you can see her cute baby bump. The shoes were way cute too!

Mila Kunis was absolutely stunning! This dress is so romantic looking. And I can't get over the gorgeous color. I love the lace detail on her boobs. One of my favorite gowns of the night. Also her hair and make up perfectly matched her romantic look.

This dress was one of those illusion dresses. Which normally looks terrible. But this is the first time I can think of that it worked perfectly. She was just beautiful! I also loved her hair and make up. She went with a trend for spring and rocked the orange lips.

Sandra Bullock was the other red dress that stood out that night. Another classic gorgeous look. She also looked stunning and went with minimal jewelery which really make the neckline stand out. Red dresses are hard to wear on the red carpet for the obvious reasons. So you have to do it right if you are going to attempt it. Sandy done right :)

Ok. This is my least favorite dress that night. I love the color but it doesn't look like a red carpet dress to me. The back is pretty but the front of the dress bothers me. I'm not sure the sheerness of this dress works. Plus the hair and make up are all wrong. So this would be my worst dressed of the night. Sorry Scarlett Johansen.

Right behind ScarJo is Nicole Kidman. I hated this dress. The only thing she got right was Keith Urban and those fabulous shoes. This dress looked too much like a Geisha dress. I don't know why she chose it. She has done so much better in the past.

So that is my recap of the best and worst dressed. I am planning to do a few video tutorials of a few of the make up looks from that night. So stay tuned for those!
