The reality TV star didn't originally fly to Mumbai to redistribute her wealth. No, she merely planned on promoting her latest business venture: the opening of eight exclusive stores in the world's second most populous nation. But, overwhelmed by the city's severe poverty, TMZ reports Hilton took it upon herself to dish out more than $2,000 of her own money to those in need.
Given more than 40 percent of the country's population falls below the international poverty line, we don't think the reality TV star made much of a dent. Also, when you're a multimillionaire, donating $2,000 is akin to the average American dropping a dollar into a Red Cross charity box.
